The Ministry of Health has extended condolences to the family of Masud Prosper, a driver employed at the Ministry, who was killed yesterday afternoon after being shot at the Queen’s Park Savannah (QPS).
In a statement, the Ministry said its management and staff were deeply saddened by his death.
Police said Prosper, 49, was shot multiple times at around 5.30 pm while sitting in a black Lancer car parked in the area in front of the food court.
Relatives said he had gone to pick up his nine-year-old son from football practice when the shooting occurred. The boy reportedly witnessed his father’s killing.
The Ministry said it will engage the services of the Employee Assistance Programme to provide support to staff affected by the incident, adding that its prayers remain with Prosper’s family and friends.
