The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has maintained its High Wind Alert at yellow level as breezy to windy conditions continue across Trinidad and Tobago and surrounding waters.
In an update issued at 12.52 pm today, the Met Office said the conditions are expected to continue intermittently until midnight on Tuesday.
The Met Office warned that gusts exceeding 55 kilometres per hour are possible, particularly near showers, in eastern areas and along elevated terrain.
It said the gusts may be strong enough to displace unsecured roofs and loose outdoor items, while also breaking tree branches.
Sea conditions are also expected to become agitated, with possible disruption to marine activities, including mooring and swimming.
The alert carries a moderate severity level with observed certainty, and the public has been urged to monitor official updates.
The Met Office advised residents to secure loose outdoor objects and livestock, while marine interests should exercise caution and small craft operators should restrict activity.
Beachgoers were also told to follow the instructions of lifeguards.
