The Inter-Religious Organization (IRO) of Trinidad and Tobago has elected a new executive to serve for the 2025–2026 term.
Elections were held during the 51st Annual General Meeting on Saturday 21st June at the ALGA Building, Government Campus Plaza, Port of Spain.
Dr Ellis Harrison Burris of the Baha’i Faith has been elected President.
He is joined by Pandit Lloyd Mukram Sirjoo of the Trinidad Academy of Hinduism as First Vice President and Ms Vidya Ramachala of the Arya Pratinidhi Sabha as Second Vice President.
The new Secretary is Ms Indira Pardasie of the Lime Head Road Cultural Centre, with Imam Ahmad Hosein of ASJA serving as Assistant Secretary. Baba Neal Ryan Rawlins of the Council of Orisha Elders has been appointed Treasurer, while Pandita Renata Devi Kungebeharry of the Shiva Dharam Sabha takes up the role of Public Relations Officer.
The elected trustees are Canon Richard Jacob, Sister Hemlata Sanghi, and Abbess Theresa Williams.
