Kite lovers’ dream at QPS

Kite fly­ing en­thu­si­asts got their fill dur­ing the 20th an­nu­al East­er Kite Fly­ing Con­test at the Queen’s Park Sa­van­nah, Port-of-Spain, on Glo­ri­ous Sat­ur­day (April 20).

When all was said and done, Pen­ny Ma­hase took the “Most In­no­v­a­tive Kite” ti­tle ahead of Khem­raj Khem­raj and To­bag­on­ian Clin­ton Bobb.

The Best Cheekie Chong prize was tak­en by San­jeev Singh, with sec­ond place go­ing to Rovey Joseph and third to Nathaniel De Bres­sette.

The Best Box Kite was won by Suresh Man­tho­ny, Ja­son Juanette won the Best Mad­bull ti­tle and Nigel Ho­sein won the Best 90.5FM Kite.

The event, which was host­ed by TSTT and Ra­dio 90.5FM, is usu­al­ly held on East­er Sun­day but the or­gan­is­ers de­cid­ed to hold in on Sat­ur­day (April 20) as they are cel­e­brat­ing 20 years this year.
