LMCS Limited, the diving company whose four divers died in a pipeline at the Paria Fuel Trading Company earlier this year, has halted all its operations.
This according to the company’s HSSE manager, Ahmad Ali. Ahmad is the nephew of LMCS owner Kazim Ali Snr and the cousin of one of the deceased divers, Kazim Ali Jnr.
Three other LMCS divers, Yusuf Henry, Fyzal Kurban and Rishi Nagassar also died in the accident on February 25.
One diver, Christopher Boodram, survived.
Ahmad was testifying before the Commission of Enquiry set up to investigate the deadly accident on Tuesday when he made the statement.
He said the company is putting all of its focus on the Commission of Enquiry and will use its findings to adjust its safety guidelines when it is completed.
