A 58-year-old man was shot and killed this morn­ing at Dump Road in Ari­ma.

The de­ceased has been iden­ti­fied as An­tho­ny John, of Riv­er Val­ley Road off La Re­treat Road, Ari­ma.

Guardian Me­dia un­der­stands the vic­tim had just ar­rived at his home at about 5:52 am to­day (Mon­day, Ju­ly 15, 2024), and ex­it­ed his ve­hi­cle, a white Fu­so truck, when he was ap­proached by two men, both of whom were armed with firearms, who shot at him sev­er­al times.

Po­lice say An­tho­ny John was shot mul­ti­ple times and fell to the ground.  He suc­cumbed to his in­juries at the scene.
