Po­lice ar­rest­ed one man, seized a quan­ti­ty of nar­cotics and am­mu­ni­tion, and re­cov­ered a stolen ve­hi­cle dur­ing ex­er­cis­es on Fri­day in the Port-of-Spain and North Cen­tral Di­vi­sions.

The TTPS said as part of Op­er­a­tion Blue Line, of­fi­cers of the North Cen­tral Di­vi­sion car­ried out a Drug Block Erad­i­ca­tion ex­er­cise be­tween the hours of 5 pm and 8 pm on No­vem­ber 10.

The team of of­fi­cers from North Cen­tral Di­vi­sion Task Force Area West, North Cen­tral Spe­cial Op­er­a­tions Unit, Tu­na­puna War­rant Staff and K9 Unit pro­ceed­ed to Balt­haz­ar Street at ap­prox­i­mate­ly 5:15 pm, where they re­ceived cer­tain in­for­ma­tion.

A search was con­duct­ed on an aban­doned dwelling house in the area, and a black plas­tic bag con­tain­ing one large pack­et of dry processed mar­i­jua­na, 21 small­er pack­ets, al­so con­tain­ing mar­i­jua­na and five rounds of am­mu­ni­tion were found.

The nar­cotics, which weighed a com­bined 723 grams, and the am­mu­ni­tion were seized.

WPC Cord­ner is con­tin­u­ing en­quiries in­to the find. In an­oth­er ex­er­cise, of­fi­cers of the In­ter-Agency Task Force pro­ceed­ed to Laven­tille Road, San Juan, hav­ing re­ceived in­for­ma­tion rel­a­tive to a re­port of a stolen Sil­ver Nis­san Ti­i­da mo­tor ve­hi­cle, tak­en from the St. James dis­trict. The of­fi­cers in­ter­cept­ed the Nis­san Ti­i­da ve­hi­cle, and the oc­cu­pant, a 36-year-old from La­hoe Street, Laven­tille Road, San Juan was ar­rest­ed. The sus­pect and the re­cov­ered ve­hi­cle were tak­en to the St. James Po­lice Sta­tion.
