A 25-year-old man died on Wednes­day morn­ing af­ter falling from a col­laps­ing scaf­fold­ing while work­ing in a ware­house along Akaloo Trace, Char­lieville.

Po­lice said the in­ci­dent oc­curred around 10:00 am as the man was clean­ing the ware­house in the com­pa­ny of oth­ers.

Ac­cord­ing to in­ves­ti­ga­tors, he was stand­ing on top of a scaf­fold when it sud­den­ly col­lapsed. 

He jumped from the falling struc­ture but land­ed heav­i­ly and was un­re­spon­sive.

Crime Scene In­ves­ti­ga­tors PC Ram­di­al and PC Naipaul processed the scene. 

The body was lat­er trans­port­ed to Dass Fu­ner­al Home.

An au­top­sy is ex­pect­ed to con­firm the ex­act cause of death.
