A 22-year-old man from Arima was killed at his home during a gun attack on Monday night.
According to a police report, at about 9 pm, Joshua Augustus was at his home on Calvary Branch Road, Calvary Hill, Arima, with his girlfriend and one of his male relatives when they heard a noise, which resembled that of someone, or something banging on galvanize.
A lone gunman then stormed into the house through the back and shot at Augustus several times.
Police said Augustus' girlfriend and the relative hid under a bed until the gunman ran away.
Augustus died on the scene of multiple gunshot wounds.
A motive is yet to be ascertained.
