Investigators were yesterday reviewing a TikTok video that was being streamed live when a St Augustine man was killed.
Marvin Monticeux was found by police with a stab wound to the lower abdomen, lying on top a cutlass.
The 50-year-old storekeeper, who was also known as “Silvers”, was employed with UWI’s Divisional Facilities in Tunapuna.
Monticeux was chatting live on TikTok with a female friend at 1.05 am when he reportedly received a phone call from another female friend and stepped away to answer it.
The friend he had been online with reported hearing a commotion before Monticeux reappeared covered in blood and begging for help before collapsing.
The panicked woman alerted the police, who went to the location at St Augustine Circular and Davis Street, Tunapuna, and found Monticheux lying on his back, with a cutlass underneath his body.
Officers from Region Two Homicide are investigating.
