In­ves­ti­ga­tors were yes­ter­day re­view­ing a Tik­Tok video that was be­ing streamed live when a St Au­gus­tine man was killed.

Mar­vin Mon­ticeux was found by po­lice with a stab wound to the low­er ab­domen, ly­ing on top a cut­lass.

The 50-year-old store­keep­er, who was al­so known as “Sil­vers”, was em­ployed with UWI’s Di­vi­sion­al Fa­cil­i­ties in Tu­na­puna.

Mon­ticeux was chat­ting live on Tik­Tok with a fe­male friend at 1.05 am when he re­port­ed­ly re­ceived a phone call from an­oth­er fe­male friend and stepped away to an­swer it.

The friend he had been on­line with re­port­ed hear­ing a com­mo­tion be­fore Mon­ticeux reap­peared cov­ered in blood and beg­ging for help be­fore col­laps­ing.

The pan­icked woman alert­ed the po­lice, who went to the lo­ca­tion at St Au­gus­tine Cir­cu­lar and Davis Street, Tu­na­puna, and found Mon­ticheux ly­ing on his back, with a cut­lass un­der­neath his body.

Of­fi­cers from Re­gion Two Homi­cide are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
