Massy Energy Engineered Solutions says the investigation process into the incident which occurred at the NiQuan facility claiming the life of Allanlane Ramkissoon remains ongoing.

A statement on Friday morning said, "MEES continues to collaborate with NiQuan Energy Trinidad Limited and participate in investigations initiated by OSHTT and the Ministry of Energy to determine and understand the cause of this tragic incident."

MEES says they are unable to provide any additional information at this time.

The company says it continues to work with relevant authorities in Colombia and Trinidad to expedite the return of Ramkissoon’s body to his family in Trinidad. "We continue to provide support to his family during this challenging time and our thoughts and prayers remain with his family and his colleagues," the company statement said.

This week, the widow of the 35-year-old, a pipe fitter from Massy Energy Engineered Solutions Limited (MEES) who died from injuries he sustained at NiQuan’s gas to liquids plant over three weeks ago, signalled her intention to sue both Massy and NiQuan.

Sarah Ramkissoon, through her attorneys Martin George and Company, did not identify a sum she wanted but asked both companies to make a financial settlement to the family in line with the pain and suffering that her husband would have endured.
