A Ma­yaro man died on Fri­day night af­ter be­ing shot whilst talk­ing to a friend at his home.

Quanzy Kadeen Mc Kain, 28, of Isth­mus Road, Point Ga­le­o­ta, Guayagua­yare, Ma­yaro was shot in the head through an open win­dow.

The killing oc­curred around 9.45 pm on March 29, at Mc Kain’s house at Camp­bell Trace, Lib­ertville, Rio Claro.

Re­ports in­di­cate the un­em­ployed man was with a 20-year-old woman at his home, which is lo­cat­ed along a track ap­prox­i­mate­ly 200 feet from the main road when a loud ex­plo­sion was heard.

Po­lice said the de­ceased was seat­ed in the open door­way of the house when a gun­man walked up to the win­dow and be­gan shoot­ing at Mc Kain.

As he pushed the woman out of the way, Mc Kain was shot in the head and col­lapsed on the floor.

Near­by res­i­dents alert­ed po­lice and as­sist­ed in tak­ing Mc Kain to the Ma­yaro Health Fa­cil­i­ty, where he was pro­nounced dead by around 10:27 pm as he was be­ing at­tend­ed to by doc­tors.
