RAD­HI­CA DE SIL­VA

A day af­ter be­ing re­port­ed miss­ing, San Fer­nan­do elec­tri­cian Kisshur Kat­wa­roo was found dead on the Gopaul By­pass Road in Princes Town.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said around 3.46 pm on Holy Thurs­day, PC Bac­chus and Ar­joon were on pa­trol du­ty when they got in­for­ma­tion that a body had been spot­ted.

When they ar­rived, they found Cap­tain Val­lence Ramb­harat from the Hunters’ Search and Res­cue Team on the site. Ramb­harat told po­lice they were search­ing for Kat­wa­roo and found a white Toy­ota Hilux, reg­is­tra­tion num­ber TCW 2539, parked fac­ing east with locked doors, idling en­gine and air con­di­tion­ing on the north­ern side of the road­way.

Cpl Cu­pid and mem­bers of the Court and Process Unit, along with first re­spon­ders, ac­cessed the ve­hi­cle by break­ing the right side rear win­dow. Up­on in­spec­tion, they found Kat­wa­roo wear­ing a ma­roon jer­sey and long black jeans, seat­ed in the dri­ver’s seat. His head was slumped down on his chest.

Dis­trict Med­ical Of­fi­cer Dr Balkissoon, ar­rived and pro­nounced him dead. There were no signs of vi­o­lence on the body.

Kat­wa­roo’s wife, Maria Jen­nings-Kat­wa­roo, iden­ti­fied his body, which was tak­en to the San Fer­nan­do mor­tu­ary for a post-mortem ex­am­i­na­tion.
