Police are trying to identify a man who was shot and thrown out of a vehicle in Arima on Sunday morning.
Police said officers of the Northern Division Task Force received a report of a shooting in Malabar Extension at around 9.50 am and went to the scene where they found the body of a man lying face down on the road with a gunshot wound behind his head.
Investigators said the man had a charger cord around his neck and two plastic tie straps around his right hand.
Officers of the Region II Homicide Bureau visited the scene with a district medical officer who declared the man dead at the scene.
Officers remained at the scene up to midday collecting evidence and canvassing the area for witnesses and footage from surveillance cameras.
