Minister of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries Ravi Ratiram presented instruments of appointment to the new Board of Directors of the Palo Seco Agricultural Enterprises Limited (PSAEL) during a ceremony at the Ministry’s Head Office in Chaguanas.
The new Board comprises:
Danny Maharaj – Chairman
Rajiv Chaitoo – Deputy Chairman
Shanty Boodram – Director
Ambereesh Ram – Director
Neil Ramsingh – Director
PSAEL, a state enterprise under the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries, is mandated to manage and develop state lands for agricultural and other productive uses, especially in rural communities.
In addressing the new Board, Ratiram urged its members to work collaboratively to boost efficiency and effectiveness across PSAEL’s operations. “Your appointment is not just a title; it is a call to action,” he said. Highlighting the wider role of the agency, he added, “Your role is more than land management; it is about strengthening agriculture and building sustainable communities.”
