Curvis Francois has been appointed T&TEC's new General Manager. He will replace current GM, Kelvin Ramsook, who retires from the commission on June 30, after 37 years of service.
According to a T&TEC release, Francois is an electrical engineer who joined the Commission in 1986 as an Engineer-in-Training. He holds an Executive MBA (Arthur Lok Jack GSB), a BSc in Electrical Engineering (UWI), and certification in Project Management and Reliability Engineering.
"Over the course of his career, Mr Francois gained extensive experience in all aspects of Distribution Plant design, construction, operations and maintenance. He also pioneered the implementation of an Enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) within the Commission. He has held several managerial roles within the organisation, with his last appointment being Chief Operating Officer in 2019," the T&TEC statement said.
It added: "The Commission also wishes to acknowledge the contribution of the outgoing General Manager Mr. Ramsook who served as General Manager for the last 11 years. We thank him for his service and contribution to the Commission and, by extension, the country and wish him a happy and fulfilling retirement."
