A Carapichaima home invasion was thwarted when the owner of the house noticed bandits lingering outside using a security camera system early Tuesday morning.
Police said the owner of the house was awake around 2.40 am when she noticed four bandits on the front step of her Waterloo Road home.
She called for help, waking another neighbour who triggered his security alarm.
Police from the Central Division Task Force rushed to the scene as one of the bandits dropped a bolt cutter and jumped over a nearby gate.
This bandit was arrested by police as his accomplices got into a red Toyota Yaris and sped off.
An all-points bulletin (APB) was issued for the bandits’ getaway car, but it was not found.
The 19-year-old suspect who is from east Port of Spain is expected to be questioned and charged.
