A 20-year-old man from Point Fortin ap­peared be­fore the Mas­ter Court South on Thurs­day, charged with sex­u­al pen­e­tra­tion of a fe­male mi­nor.

A state­ment from the TTPS said Kendel Ack­ie, of Beach Road, Point Fortin, ap­peared be­fore Mas­ter Franklin on two counts of sex­u­al pen­e­tra­tion. Po­lice said the charges stemmed from an in­ci­dent in which the vic­tim was re­port­ed miss­ing on Feb­ru­ary 11, on­ly to be found at Ack­ie’s home lat­er that day.

Up­on his ar­rest, Ack­ie was charged with two of­fences and sub­se­quent­ly grant­ed bail for $200,000. The court or­dered the ac­cused to stop all com­mu­ni­ca­tions with the vic­tim and re­main at least 100 feet away from her at all times.
