Three peo­ple who were be­ing treat­ed at a spa and clin­ic in Barataria on Mon­day, were re­port­ed­ly robbed by gun­men pos­ing as med­ical per­son­nel.

The vic­tims in­clud­ed a 17-year-old of Gill Street, San­gre Grande; two women aged 51 and 73, of Ram­goolie Street, Curepe; along with the 37-year-old fe­male own­er of San An­to­nio Street, San Juan.

The vic­tims were at the well-known es­tab­lish­ment around 12.30 pm on Sep­tem­ber 11, when two men wear­ing white-coloured med­ical PPE suits cov­er­ing their heads and blue-coloured med­ical masks cov­er­ing their faces, en­tered.

As one of the men pulled out a firearm, the sec­ond man walked up-stairs de­mand­ing to know about an ap­point­ment that had been sched­uled for 1 pm that very day.

When the own­er re­fused to di­vulge any in­for­ma­tion about the client, the two ban­dits tied up the vic­tims and robbed them of a to­tal of TT $2200 in cash be­fore run­ning off.
