The Val­sayn "House of Hor­rors" case has tak­en a po­ten­tial­ly bizarre twist as there is now some doubt about whether it was Han­nah Mathu­ra's body that was found last week.

The skele­ton, ac­cord­ing to po­lice sources, may have be­longed to a male, mean­ing Han­nah may still be un­ac­count­ed for.

From 8:45 am on Wednes­day, po­lice re­turned to the fam­i­ly home at Bu­tu Road, Val­sayn. Of­fi­cers be­gan ask­ing rel­a­tives on the com­pound ques­tions. Short­ly af­ter, mem­bers of the ca­nine unit ar­rived with a ca­dav­er dog. Ten min­utes lat­er, an ex­ca­va­tor from the re­gion­al cor­po­ra­tion ar­rived and went to the back of the com­pound to be­gin dig­ging. The par­ents of Han­nah Mathu­ra were ques­tioned by po­lice but were re­leased on Tues­day.
