A 46-year-old salesman, accused of sexually molesting a five-year-old girl and showing her pornographic material, has been granted bail in the sum of $200,000.
San Fernando magistrate Armina Deonarinesingh ordered the man to stay 200 feet from the child and not to have any contact with her. He must also move out of his home, as he lives in the child’s neighbourhood, and report once a week to the St Margaret’s Police Station.
He is facing three charges of sexual touching of a child, causing a child to watch a sexual act and exposing a child to a dangerous drug.
The police were contacted on May 22, after the child’s mother was shown a video recording of the man allegedly molesting the child and showing her movies of naked women.
It was alleged that the man also had marijuana in the house in the child’s presence.
He was arrested and charged by WPC Paul. The matter has been adjourned to June 28.(SW)
