Po­lice ar­rest­ed sev­en men in con­nec­tion with a re­port of a rob­bery that oc­curred yes­ter­day morn­ing. The group, aged 22 to 34, were ar­rest­ed by of­fi­cers of the San Juan Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment (CID), the North-East­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force (NEDTF), and ERP units, fol­low­ing pre­lim­i­nary in­ves­ti­ga­tions in­to a re­port of rob­bery with vi­o­lence against three Chi­nese pro­pri­etors.

The group is ex­pect­ed to be placed on iden­ti­fi­ca­tion pa­rades as in­ves­ti­ga­tors be­lieve the men may be re­spon­si­ble for re­cent rob­beries with­in the San Juan area.
Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, the Chi­nese na­tion­als told them at 3 am on May 3rd, an alarm from their El So­cor­ro su­per­mar­ket awoke them. When the pro­pri­etors fur­ther in­ves­ti­gat­ed, they re­port­ed­ly saw that sev­er­al per­sons had gained en­try to the es­tab­lish­ment.

Soon af­ter, the Chi­nese na­tion­als were ac­cost­ed by a group of men who tased them and dealt them sev­er­al blows about the body. The group of men lat­er took an undis­closed amount of cash be­fore es­cap­ing.

A re­port was lat­er made to po­lice, and an all-point bul­letin was is­sued for the men. Of­fi­cers of the San Juan CID, ERP, and NEDTF im­me­di­ate­ly re­spond­ed. Po­lice sub­se­quent­ly cap­tured sev­en men of in­ter­est who are as­sist­ing with in­ves­ti­ga­tions in­to sev­er­al re­ports of rob­beries.
