As Hurricane Beryl continues to move across the Windward Islands, several areas across Tobago were said to be without power around 8 am today.
These include Bethel; Mt Irvine; Roxborough; Charlotteville; Mt Grace; Moriah; Scarborough; Black Rock; Mason Hall; Calder Hall; Argyle; Les Coteaux; Bloody Bay; Idle Wile; and Castara.
A fallen tree along the Plymouth Road has also blocked the access route and downed power lines in the immediate vicinity.
A similar event has also occurred at Turpin’s Bend, Charlotteville. Officials from the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) have been notified.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes at this time.
