Son remanded after going to court for mom’s murder

Thir­ty-one-year-old Adri­an Koat was re­mand­ed in­to cus­tody yes­ter­day af­ter ap­pear­ing in court charged with his moth­er’s mur­der.

Koat ap­peared vir­tu­al­ly be­fore High Court Mas­ter Ma­g­a­ret Sookraj-Goswa­mi.

He is ac­cused of mur­der­ing his moth­er, Malah Boodram, 57, on Au­gust 12.

Boodram was beat­en to death at her Cleghorn Vil­lage, Princes Town home fol­low­ing an ar­gu­ment, which al­leged­ly stemmed from the dis­con­nec­tion of the in­ter­net at the premis­es

The in­ci­dent took place in the pres­ence of Boodram’s hus­band Den­nis Koat, but he was un­harmed.

The mat­ter was ad­journed to June 12, 2025.
