A St James man was shot dead at his busi­ness-place in Cunu­pia ear­ly this morn­ing.

He has been iden­ti­fied as 34-year-old Haqqani Ali of Mu­cu­rapo Road.

Po­lice said Ali was lock­ing up the El Grande Piscine Pool along Solomon Dri­ve, Chin Chin Road around 1:10 am to­day (May 26, 2025), when he was at­tacked.

An em­ploy­ee told of­fi­cers he heard two loud ex­plo­sions and, up­on check­ing, found Ali ly­ing in a pool of blood.

A masked gun­man was re­port­ed­ly seen run­ning from the scene.
