Civ­il ser­vants in St Lu­cia will re­ceive a spe­cial bonus with their De­cem­ber 2025 salaries, Prime Min­is­ter Philip J. Pierre an­nounced.

Speak­ing at the 37th An­nu­al Gen­er­al Meet­ing of the Cas­tries East Con­stituen­cy, Pierre said it would be the first time in the coun­try’s his­to­ry that pub­lic of­fi­cers re­ceive con­sec­u­tive De­cem­ber bonus­es. Last year, the gov­ern­ment paid a $500 bonus to all civ­il ser­vants.

Pierre said the mea­sure re­flects his ad­min­is­tra­tion’s com­mit­ment to plac­ing work­ers and fam­i­lies at the cen­tre of na­tion­al pri­or­i­ties while recog­nis­ing the con­tri­bu­tions of pub­lic of­fi­cers to es­sen­tial ser­vices and de­vel­op­ment.
