A 19-year-old man who was one of three men sus­pect­ed to be in­volved in the kid­nap­ping of doc­tors Rudrade­va Shar­ma and Prem Naidoo was on Mon­day evening point­ed out fol­low­ing an iden­ti­fi­ca­tion pa­rade as the per­son who took the phones of the doc­tors just min­utes be­fore the kid­nap­ping oc­curred.

Se­nior po­lice sources told Guardian Me­dia that the oth­er in­jured sus­pect in the case a 17-year-old mi­nor from La­dy Hailes Av­enue was ex­pect­ed to be dis­charged from the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal late yes­ter­day evening and tak­en to a book­ing sta­tion for mi­nors at the Oropouche Po­lice Sta­tion.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors say that a re­port has been sub­mit­ted to the DPP for his pe­rusal- and in­ves­ti­ga­tors are await­ing fur­ther in­struc­tions from the DPP.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors say Shar­ma, 38 from La Ro­maine, a med­ical doc­tor at the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal and Naidoo, 37 of Palmiste had fin­ished their shift around 10 pm last Tues­day and had gone to Pleas­antville where they pur­chased mar­i­jua­na.

The doc­tors then went to Rush­worth Street, Ex­ten­sion, San Fer­nan­do where Shar­ma parked his white Hon­da CRV SUV.

While they were smok­ing three men, one armed with a firearm ap­proached and robbed them of their mo­bile phones.

The sus­pects tied up the doc­tors and placed them in the back of the ve­hi­cle and drove the SUV to the Solomon Ho­choy High­way.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors say that up­on ap­proach­ing Macaulay, Clax­ton Bay around 1:50 a.m Wednes­day. the dri­ver lost con­trol, caus­ing the ve­hi­cle to flip sev­er­al times be­fore stop­ping in the grass.

Po­lice and med­ical per­son­nel re­spond­ed and the oc­cu­pants were tak­en to hos­pi­tal.

How­ev­er, Shar­ma died. The oth­er sus­pect in the kid­nap­ping Akeeml Ma­rine al­so died a few days lat­er in hos­pi­tal.
