Thieves made off with two Electro Voices Power Doc speakers, each valued at TT $6,000, from the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Bass Street, Santa Cruz.
The theft was discovered on Sunday morning when a 66-year-old resident of Pipiol Road, Cantaro Village, arrived at the church around 8:15 am for routine maintenance work.
The resident, who reported the theft to the Santa Cruz Police stated that he last saw the speakers at 8 pm on Saturday.
He contacted several church members to verify if anyone had been given permission to remove the speakers, but no such authorization had been granted.
