Thieves made off with two Elec­tro Voic­es Pow­er Doc speak­ers, each val­ued at TT $6,000, from the Sev­enth Day Ad­ven­tist Church on Bass Street, San­ta Cruz. 

The theft was dis­cov­ered on Sun­day morn­ing when a 66-year-old res­i­dent of Pi­p­i­ol Road, Can­taro Vil­lage, ar­rived at the church around 8:15 am for rou­tine main­te­nance work.

The res­i­dent, who re­port­ed the theft to the San­ta Cruz Po­lice stat­ed that he last saw the speak­ers at 8 pm on Sat­ur­day. 

He con­tact­ed sev­er­al church mem­bers to ver­i­fy if any­one had been giv­en per­mis­sion to re­move the speak­ers, but no such au­tho­riza­tion had been grant­ed.
