Three men of Cu­napo, South­ern Main Road, Biche, were charged with pos­ses­sion of cannabis yes­ter­day.
Ku­mar Jawahir, 40, Zion Fran­cis, 21, and Go­b­ard­han Mad­hoo, 52, were ar­rest­ed af­ter their ve­hi­cle was stopped and searched by po­lice. The search was con­duct­ed dur­ing a po­lice ex­er­cise that took place be­tween the hours of 12.30 pm and 3 pm in the Biche dis­trict.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, around 2.15 pm, of­fi­cers stopped a blue Ford Ranger at the 19-Mile Mark, Cu­napo, South­ern Road, Biche. A search was con­duct­ed and 296 grams of cannabis were al­leged­ly found. The men were ar­rest­ed and sub­se­quent­ly charged by PC Thom. The ex­er­cise was co­or­di­nat­ed by Snr Supt Aguilal, su­per­vised by ASP Jan­kee, Sgt Ma­habir, Ag Sgt Ma­haraj and in­clud­ed of­fi­cers of the Biche Po­lice Sta­tion, Rio Claro and Ma­yaro Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ments (CID) and Task Force
