A teenager was among three persons arrested for firearm-related offences in the South Western Division yesterday.
Officers conducted an exercise in the Siparia district, at Sudama Alley around 3:30 pm, on March 25. They apprehended two male suspects and discovered one revolver loaded with six rounds of ammunition.
The suspects, a 36-year-old of Guapo and a Form Five student of Palo Seco, were arrested in connection with the find.
Over the weekend a 42-year-old fisherman of Icacos Beach Road was arrested for possession of a Glock-17 pistol, loaded with a magazine containing eight rounds of ammunition.
Officers also searched a coconut estate along the Icacos beach which led to the discovery of a plastic bag containing three magazines and 84 rounds of assorted ammunition.
Investigations are ongoing into the above matters.
