Three peo­ple were shot and wound­ed on Tues­day morn­ing, iron­i­cal­ly, in the same area where three peo­ple were found hacked to death on Mon­day morn­ing in Ari­ma.

The shoot­ing oc­curred ten min­utes af­ter a man was ar­rest­ed on a do­mes­tic vi­o­lence re­port. It is al­leged he phys­i­cal­ly as­sault­ed a rel­a­tive.

The vic­tims have been iden­ti­fied as 43-year-old David Richard­son alias “Scratchie”, of LP300 Getwell Av­enue Ex­ten­sion; 22-year-old Jer­lene Richard­son, al­so of LP300 Getwell Av­enue Ex­ten­sion; and 40-year-old Kel­ly An­drews, of Riv­er Street, San­gre Grande.

Ac­cord­ing to a po­lice re­port, at about 1.30 am, the vic­tims were in the com­pa­ny of sev­er­al oth­er per­sons seat­ed in the gallery of the Richard­sons' home at LP300 Getwell Av­enue Ex­ten­sion, when two men ap­proached from the west­ern side of the road­way.

The sus­pects were de­scribed as light brown in com­plex­ion. The one who held a gun was clad in a black hood­ie and had star tat­toos on his face. The oth­er sus­pect sport­ed long hair tied in a sin­gle pony­tail.

Po­lice said the armed sus­pect fired six shots at the three vic­tims be­fore run­ning east­wards along Getwell Av­enue Ex­ten­sion.

Richard­son was shot to the neck, face, right in­dex fin­ger, and both shoul­ders. Jer­lene was shot in the up­per right thigh and An­drews was shot on the left an­kle. All three cur­rent­ly are ward­ed in hos­pi­tal and are said to be in sta­ble con­di­tion.

Guardian Me­dia was told that short­ly be­fore the shoot­ing, there was a re­port of do­mes­tic vi­o­lence, in which a 31-year-old sus­pect of the same ad­dress was ar­rest­ed for As­sault by Beat­ing, at about 1.20 am.

On Mon­day, a few me­tres away from the Richard­sons, three mem­bers of an­oth­er fam­i­ly were found mur­dered.

The three vic­tims, who were found hacked to death were iden­ti­fied as 31-year-old Pol­ly Ann Chu­niesingh; her broth­er, 39-year-old Dami­an Chu­niesingh; and their un­cle, Cana­di­an cit­i­zen Randy Chu­niesingh. Randy, who lived in Cana­da, was in Trinidad on va­ca­tion for the Christ­mas sea­son.
