A Trop­i­cal De­pres­sion has formed east of the Lee­ward Is­lands, be­com­ing the sev­enth de­pres­sion of this Hur­ri­cane Sea­son.

So far, no coastal warn­ings or ad­vi­sories have not been is­sued by re­gion­al au­thor­i­ties.

It is cur­rent­ly lo­cat­ed 1,300 km east of the Lee­ward Is­lands.

The Na­tion­al Hur­ri­cane Cen­tre (NHC) has said that peo­ple with in­ter­ests in the Lee­ward Is­lands, the Vir­gin Is­lands, and Puer­to Ri­co should mon­i­tor the progress of this sys­tem.

The de­pres­sion is pack­ing winds of near 55 km/h with high­er gusts.

The NHC has said that mod­els show it can be­come a trop­i­cal storm by tonight or on Thurs­day.
