Two more police officers have been ordered to be held under the preventative detention orders, bringing to five the number of serving Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) members currently held under State of Emergency powers.
According to Legal Notices 139 and 140, Jalini Prima and Stefano Antonio Haban, both serving TTPS members, are accused of membership in an informal criminal gang. Both men are also alleged to be involved in abuse of public office, extortion, tipping-off, and facilitating serious criminal activity.
The officers join their colleagues Pramanan Rajpath, Elon Alexander and Stefon Khan at the Eastern Correctional Rehabilitation Centre.
The two latest detainees are among 39 preventive detention orders issued under the State of Emergency, which also include one woman, Onecar Thomas.
The orders also identify several alleged criminal groupings, including the Market Hill Gang, the Straker Organised Crime Group based in Point Fortin, the Resistance Gang, SIXX Gang, 6 Gang, 7 Gang, Rasta City/Seven Gang, 9 Gang and the Seven Gang.
Among those detained are alleged members of the Market Hill Gang, including leader Darion Sorzano, Hezekiah Forbes, Jackson Woods, Adrian Seepersad, and Adesa Guy, also known as Kunta Sorzano.
Jabari Davidson is identified as a member of the Straker Organised Crime Group, while alleged Resistance Gang members include Castro Charles, Romell St Clair and Kaveesh Ronaldo Maharaj.
A SIXX Gang member is listed as Atileon Johnson, while alleged 6 Gang members are Brent Thomas and Justin Clarke.
The 7 Gang member is identified as Nicholas Rampersad, while alleged Rasta City/Seven Gang members include Daniel Abdulla Mohammed, Joseph Oliviere and Keston Jackie.
Alleged 9 Gang members are listed as Akil Smith, Arnez Payison, Quincy Flatts and Jameal David.
The remaining detainees, who are not listed as being affiliated to any of the named groups, include Anthony Rawlins, Kristian Nicholas, Arron Dolly, Sudesh Sookoo, Josiah Fullerton, Eilan Nicholas, Keon Nelson and Richard Kingsley.
