Two more po­lice of­fi­cers have been or­dered to be held un­der the pre­ven­ta­tive de­ten­tion or­ders, bring­ing to five the num­ber of serv­ing Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice (TTPS) mem­bers cur­rent­ly held un­der State of Emer­gency pow­ers.

Ac­cord­ing to Le­gal No­tices 139 and 140, Jali­ni Pri­ma and Ste­fano An­to­nio Ha­ban, both serv­ing TTPS mem­bers, are ac­cused of mem­ber­ship in an in­for­mal crim­i­nal gang. Both men are al­so al­leged to be in­volved in abuse of pub­lic of­fice, ex­tor­tion, tip­ping-off, and fa­cil­i­tat­ing se­ri­ous crim­i­nal ac­tiv­i­ty.

The of­fi­cers join their col­leagues Pra­manan Ra­j­path, Elon Alexan­der and Ste­fon Khan at the East­ern Cor­rec­tion­al Re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion Cen­tre.

The two lat­est de­tainees are among 39 pre­ven­tive de­ten­tion or­ders is­sued un­der the State of Emer­gency, which al­so in­clude one woman, Onecar Thomas.

The or­ders al­so iden­ti­fy sev­er­al al­leged crim­i­nal group­ings, in­clud­ing the Mar­ket Hill Gang, the Strak­er Or­gan­ised Crime Group based in Point Fortin, the Re­sis­tance Gang, SIXX Gang, 6 Gang, 7 Gang, Ras­ta City/Sev­en Gang, 9 Gang and the Sev­en Gang.

Among those de­tained are al­leged mem­bers of the Mar­ket Hill Gang, in­clud­ing leader Dar­i­on Sorzano, Hezeki­ah Forbes, Jack­son Woods, Adri­an Seep­er­sad, and Ade­sa Guy, al­so known as Kun­ta Sorzano.

Jabari David­son is iden­ti­fied as a mem­ber of the Strak­er Or­gan­ised Crime Group, while al­leged Re­sis­tance Gang mem­bers in­clude Cas­tro Charles, Romell St Clair and Kaveesh Ronal­do Ma­haraj.

A SIXX Gang mem­ber is list­ed as Atileon John­son, while al­leged 6 Gang mem­bers are Brent Thomas and Justin Clarke.

The 7 Gang mem­ber is iden­ti­fied as Nicholas Ram­per­sad, while al­leged Ras­ta City/Sev­en Gang mem­bers in­clude Daniel Ab­dul­la Mo­hammed, Joseph Oliviere and Ke­ston Jack­ie.

Al­leged 9 Gang mem­bers are list­ed as Ak­il Smith, Arnez Pay­i­son, Quin­cy Flatts and Jameal David.

The re­main­ing de­tainees, who are not list­ed as be­ing af­fil­i­at­ed to any of the named groups, in­clude An­tho­ny Rawl­ins, Kris­t­ian Nicholas, Ar­ron Dol­ly, Sudesh Sookoo, Josi­ah Fuller­ton, Eilan Nicholas, Keon Nel­son and Richard Kings­ley.
