Two men were arrested and a vehicle seized in the Central Division on Wednesday when officers conducted anti-crime exercises in the Couva and Freeport Police Station districts.
During the exercise, the officers, acting on information received, relative to a report of a robbery with violence which occurred in the Couva district proceeded to Maraj Lane Freeport and arrested two men, a 26-year-old as well as a 33-year-old, both of Freeport.
The officers also seized a dark-coloured Kia Sportage which was allegedly used in the robbery, the vehicle is now lodged at the Couva Police Station.
The exercise was spearheaded by Snr. Supt Simon, Supt. Gyan, Supt Baird, ASP Ablacksingh, Insp Sylvan and Insp Stewart. Field operations were supervised by Sgt Nelson, Cpl Hall and also included members of the Couva, Criminal Investigation Department and Central Division Task Force, Area South.
