The United States Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) for Security Agreements and Foreign Policy Advisors, Bureau of Political-Military Affairs Linda Specht will visit T&T next week.
She will arrive in the country on Monday and leave on Wednesday.
According to the US Embassy, Specht will meet with government ministers for bilateral discussions on advancing the robust security cooperation between both countries. Her visit follows Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley's visit to the United States last month.
Specht is the lead negotiator for bilateral defense agreements that involve access, status protections, and burden sharing. With more than 30 years’ experience in the Foreign Service, she has held key positions in political, political-military, and economic affairs both at the State Department and in U.S. embassies and consulates around the world.
