A woman is hos­pi­talised af­ter she was struck by a maxi taxi in Cunu­pia.

Po­lice said around 10.45 a.m. on Mon­day, a green band maxi taxi over­took a line of ve­hi­cles along South­ern Main Road, War­renville, Cunu­pia and col­lid­ed with a white Nis­san X-Trail that was about to turn on­to Em­manuel Trace. 

The maxi ran off the road­way on­to the com­pound of Lin Hai restau­rant and struck a 45-year-old Cunu­pia woman, as well as a parked white Mit­subishi Lancer. The dri­ver of the maxi fled the scene. The woman re­mains ward­ed in a sta­ble con­di­tion at the Mt Hope Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal.
