The body of a woman was found dumped at the side of a de­sert­ed quar­ry road in Va­len­cia on Sun­day.

Po­lice be­lieve she was stabbed to her chest and there were marks of vi­o­lence to her face.

The vic­tim was not im­me­di­ate­ly iden­ti­fied. Po­lice are try­ing to match her de­scrip­tion to that of women re­port­ed miss­ing.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said the woman was wear­ing a wig, and dressed in a pair of grey un­der­wear, and red sleeve­less top. She has two tat­toos on her shoul­ders with the word "Blunt" and what ap­peared to be a mar­i­jua­na leaf.

Po­lice be­lieve the woman was mur­dered else­where and thrown at the side of Tapana Road late Sat­ur­day night. There was no blood at the scene.

Around 8.10 am on Sun­day, po­lice of­fi­cers were alert­ed a vil­lager in­form­ing them of a dead woman’s body ly­ing at the side of the road.

Sgt Gar­cia and a team of po­lice of­fi­cers from Va­len­cia Po­lice Post were the first re­spon­ders and were lat­er they were joined by Homi­cide Of­fi­cers from Arou­ca Bu­reau Re­gion 11. Po­lice are call­ing on mem­bers of the pub­lic to con­tact the Va­len­cia Po­lice at 667 -9030 to help iden­ti­fy the vic­tim.
