An­gel Coop­er got the lone try as Bish­op’s Cen­te­nary Col­lege ‘A’ edged past Bish­op Anstey High School 5-0 in the open­ing match of the 2018 Sec­ondary School Girls Rug­by League sea­son at the Queen’s Park Sa­van­nah, Port-of-Spain, re­cent­ly.

Holy Name Con­vent (Port-of-Spain) had a much eas­i­er time as it got a 21-0 de­fault win over de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons, St James Gov­ern­ment Sec­ondary in the day’s oth­er sched­uled match.

To­day, com­pe­ti­tion will re­sume with three match­es at the Queen’s Park Sa­van­nah from 3.30pm.

In the open­er, Holy Name Con­vent (PoS) ‘B’ tack­les Prov­i­dence Girls High School on Har­vard Ground, while Bish­op Cen­te­nary Col­lege ‘A’ faces Holy Name Con­vent (PoS) ‘A’ on Carib Ground, fol­lowed by Bish­op Cen­te­nary Col­lege ‘B’ ver­sus Bish­op Anstey on Carib Ground at 4.15pm

Last year, St James Gov­ern­ment Sec­ondary School be­came the fourth school to lift the ti­tle in six years when they bat­tled past Bish­op Anstey ‘B’ 15-5 in the fi­nal.
