Afiyah Corn­wall reg­is­tered a hat-trick to lead de­fend­ing cham­pi­on Club San­do to an em­phat­ic 8-0 drub­bing of Ath­let­ic In­ter­na­tion­al Acad­e­my (AIA) in their T&T Women’s League Foot­ball (WoLF) open­er on Sat­ur­day.

Play­ing at the St Au­gus­tine Sec­ondary Ground, War­ren Street, Corn­wall net­ted her hat-trick in the span of nine sec­ond-half min­utes in the 60th, 68th and 69th.

Kha­didra Debe­sette’s third-minute open­er was fol­lowed by a dou­ble from Karyn Forbes in the 27th and 28th min­utes.

Club San­do al­so got a goal each from Jes­si­ca Har­ra­gin in the 71st and Chel­cy Ralph in the 79th to com­plete the dom­i­nant win.

At the Cour­land Recre­ation Ground in Black Rock To­ba­go, there were wins for Black Pan­thers and To­ba­go Chi­cas, 2-1 and 2-0 over Com­bined Ballerz and Jew­els, re­spec­tive­ly.
