Team cap­tain Christo­pher Du­ri­ty scored a pair of goals to lead De­fence Force Past Play­ers to a 4-0 de­feat of Sun­day Krew in an all-T&T club Over-40 Di­vi­sion fi­nal when the St Lu­cia In­ter­na­tion­al Mas­ters Foot­ball Tour­na­ment host­ed by Vet­er­ans In Sport In­cor­po­rat­ed end­ed at the Gros Islet Mi­ni Sta­di­um on Mon­day.

For De­fence Force, for­mer T&T in­ter­na­tion­al De­vorn Jorsling, who was vot­ed as the “Most Valu­able Play­er” of the Fi­nal, and Steve Ben­ny al­so added a goal each in the win.

De­fence Force de­fend­er Khell Elie cap­tured the ‘Most Valu­able Play­er’ of the tour­na­ment ac­co­lade, while team­mate Em­manuel Nurse was named as the ‘Best Goal­keep­er’ af­ter not con­ced­ing a sin­gle goal through­out the du­ra­tion of the com­pe­ti­tion.

In the third-placed play­off, Ballers For­ev­er blanked last year’s tour­na­ment win­ners, Era Mas­ters of T&T, 2-0.

In the Over-50 Di­vi­sion, the Earl Jean-cap­tained Mas­ters Re-Loaded over­came T&T’s Mara­cas A-Lite 2-0, with Roger Ce­les­tine scor­ing a pair of goals to end as the joint top scor­er with Kendall Velox of Mara­cas A-Lite, with both play­ers end­ing with eight goals each. Ear­li­er on, host team Den­nery Unit­ed edged Sun­day Krew 1-0 for the third spot.
