T&T’s Jor­dan Dook­ie and her Bar­ba­di­an part­ner Ser­e­na Bryan came from a set down against the USA sis­ters pair­ing of Camille Al­le­gre, and Olivia Al­le­gre to cap­ture the Girls Un­der-18 Dou­bles ti­tle when the ITF World Ten­nis Tour Ju­nior St Vin­cent and the Grenadines Ten­nis As­so­ci­a­tion Na­tion­al Lot­ter­ies Au­thor­i­ty (NLA) J30 Vil­la Tour­na­ment end­ed on Fri­day.

Play­ing at the Na­tion­al Ten­nis Cen­tre Vil­la, St Vin­cent in the one-week COTECC-host­ed event, the duo of Dook­ie, and Bryan ral­lied for vic­to­ry 4-6, 6-4, 10-5.

It was the sec­ond Dou­bles ti­tle of the sea­son for Dook­ie af­ter she com­bined with Cook­ie Jarvis-Tred­gett for last month’s tour­na­ment win in Cas­tries, St Lu­cia.

In Thurs­day’s semi­fi­nal in St Vin­cent, Dook­ie and Bryan de­feat­ed Moldo­va’s Anas­ta­sia Gan­ja, and New Zealand’s Dal­las King-Ehau 7-5, 6-0 while the Al­le­gre’s over­whelmed Ta­tiana Mar­tinez’s fel­low Amer­i­cans Ta­tiana Mar­tinez, and Gabriela Vela 6-4, 7-5.

On Wednes­day in the quar­ter­fi­nals, Dook­ie, and Bryan stunned top-ranked Amer­i­cans Sophia Ce­de­no, and Sofia Mills 6-2, 7-6(0) while fel­low T&T play­er, Reina Alex­is and St Vin­cent and The Grenadines’ Afe Lu­ca were beat­en by USA’s Ta­tiana Mar­tinez, and Gabriela Vi­lar 0-6, 1-6.

In the Sin­gles com­pe­ti­tion, Dook­ie reached the quar­ter­fi­nals be­fore she was halt­ed by USA’s fifth-ranked play­er Sim­ran Makker 6-2, 2-6, 2-6.

This af­ter the sec­ond-seed­ed Dook­ie de­feat­ed Mar­tinez 6-4, 6-0 in their round-of-16 tie while Alex­is was hum­bled by Poland’s Karoli­na Lin­cer 0-6, 0-6. Both T&T girls had re­ceived first round-byes.

In the Boys Un­der-18 Dou­bles, T&T’s Zach­ery Byng and B’Jorn Hall were beat­en in the semi­fi­nals by top-ranked Brazil­ians and even­tu­al cham­pi­ons Luc­ca Aci­oly, and Et­tore Romeo Bag­gio 2-6, 1-6.

On Tues­day, Byng and Hall won their open­ing match, 6-1, 6-2 against host duo Jaiden Bowens, and An­gel­lo Mor­gan 6-1, 6-2 and then de­feat­ed Se­bastien Byng, and Adam King of Bar­ba­dos, the fourth-ranked pair, 6-4, 6-4 in the quar­ter­fi­nals.

The T&T con­tin­gent of play­ers which al­so in­cludes St Lu­cia-leg Sin­gles win­ner, Se­bastien Byng, Aaron Subero, Adri­an Ja­cobs, Nathan Mar­tin, Kale Dal­la Cos­ta, Beck­ham Sylvester, Zach­ery Byng, and Javed Dowlat will now re­fo­cus them­selves on the sec­ond host­ing of the J30 event in St Vin­cent be­gin­ning at the same venue on Mon­day and it will end on Au­gust 19.
