E-Z Lines main­tained their elite form af­ter a dra­mat­ic come-from-be­hind vic­to­ry against De Orig­i­nal Game Shot (DOGS) in the Na­tion­al Mixed For­mat League of Darts when the T&T Darts As­so­ci­a­tion (TT­DA) host­ed Match-day 11 at No 36 New Street, Port-of-Spain on Tues­day.

Four match-days re­main in the Na­tion­al Mixed For­mat League of Darts, and there is still no clear win­ner in the A di­vi­sion.

De­fend­ing cham­pi­ons E-Z Lines took on close con­tenders DOGS in what was a must-win and sea­son-defin­ing fix­ture. DOGS had the bet­ter start, rac­ing to a 3-1 lead af­ter the first brack­et.

The sin­gles round, how­ev­er, is where E-Z Lines turned it all around, led by the clin­i­cal James Walk­lin. E-Z Lines were able to win four out of the five sin­gles and then eas­i­ly dis­patched DOGS in the fi­nal team game to win in dra­mat­ic style 6-4.

Hot on their heels and tied on the same points are Jus For Fun (JFF) Vikings, who al­most made a clean sweep of Pub House Pi­rates 9-1. Drifters are out of the ti­tle race but were able to over­come a scare from Bul­lz I, win­ning the tight­ly con­test­ed match 6-4.

Scor­pi­ons are well on their way to be­ing crowned cham­pi­ons and gain­ing pro­mo­tion af­ter de­feat­ing Jus For Fun Snipers 7-3. The cham­pi­ons elect were al­ways in con­trol, lead­ing 5-1 at one stage and then cruis­ing to vic­to­ry.

The gap be­tween first and sec­ond place is 21 points, bar­ring a trag­ic ca­pit­u­la­tion, Scor­pi­ons are set to com­fort­ably win the B di­vi­sion.

Triple Vi­sion re­mains in sec­ond af­ter de­feat­ing fourth-place Shang­hai Bulls 6-4. Sea Wolves re­main in third place af­ter see­ing off Reck­less Darts Team 6-4 in what was a close bat­tle right down to the wire.

Flight­ed Friends are in firm con­trol at the top of the C di­vi­sion af­ter a bril­liant con­test against sec­ond-place Ran­dom Squad. Flight­ed Friends had a dream start, rac­ing to a 5-1 lead and look­ing like they were go­ing to heav­i­ly de­feat their op­po­nents; how­ev­er, Ran­dom Squad held on and fought very hard to win the four re­main­ing games of the con­test to clinch a very im­pres­sive 5-5 re­sult. The im­pres­sive come­back was ini­ti­at­ed by Clay­ton Archer, who un­der im­mense pres­sure, won his sin­gles to spark his team to life. Third-placed Top Shot were held to a 5-5 draw by Pel­terzzz. Bull­dogs reg­is­tered their biggest vic­to­ry, de­feat­ing Mu­cu­rapo Mus­ke­teers 9-1.

Four more match-days re­main and it is still un­clear who would win the A di­vi­sion and who would al­so get rel­e­gat­ed from the A di­vi­sion. The B and C di­vi­sions ap­pear to be straight­for­ward to call. The ac­tion con­tin­ues with match-day 12, where Jus For Vikings take on DOGS at the same venue on Tues­day.
