Play­ing at the Cen­tral Re­gion­al In­door Sports Are­na, Saith Park, Ch­agua­nas on Sat­ur­day, Glam­or­gan women with­stood a strong chal­lenge from Big South East Port-of-Spain (SE­PoS) 25-21, 25-21, 25-23 to im­prove to a 2-0 record, while its op­po­nent dropped to 0-3 on the sea­son.

Al­so on Sat­ur­day, West Side Stars re­bound­ed from its loss to Glam­or­gan with a win by de­fault over a short-hand­ed Tech­nocrats.

A day lat­er at the same venue, Glam­or­gan made it three wins from as many out­ings by eas­ing past Tech­nocrats 25-8, 25-15, 25-15, while West Side Stars came from be­hind to hum­ble SE­PoS 18-25, 25-23, 25-12, 25-20.

Glam­or­agn men led by se­nior na­tion­al team cap­tain Ryan Stew­art brushed aside To­co Youths Vol­ley­ball Acad­e­my 25-18, 25-20, 25-20 and the na­tion­al Un­der-23 men’s team in train­ing for the Caribbean Zon­al Vol­ley­ball As­so­ci­a­tion (CA­ZO­VA) Cham­pi­onships in Suri­name next month got bet­ter of Tech­nocrats 25-19, 25-21 in a best-of-three sets con­test, af­ter both teams ar­rived late for en­counter.

On Sat­ur­day in the two men’s match­es, South­ern Unit­ed Vol­ley­ball Acad­e­my de­feat­ed a late ar­rive To­co Youths, 25-0, 21-25, 25-18, 29-27 and SE­PoS schooled the na­tion­al Un­der-23s 25-0, 25-20, 25-22, with the lat­ter los­ing the first set by de­fault.
