Kyle Hope and Isaiah Rajah have been dropped from the T&T Red Force Regional 4-Day squad set to face the Leeward Islands Hurricanes in their round two match at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy (BLCA) in Tarouba, starting tomorrow.
Hope was dropped after a long string of poor performances dating back to the Colonial Life Super-50 series.
However, veteran regional batsman Jason Mohammed is back in the squad with Kissoondath Magram also selected following credible performances in the trial matches just ahead of the start of the regional tournament.
The Red Force drew their opening match against the Scorpions at the same venue on the weekend.
Speaking during a practice session yesterday at the National Cricket Centre in Couva, Joshua Da Silva, who score a century in the opening match, said the Red Force will be looking to build on the solid start to the season.
“I don’t expect much to change,” Da Silva told Guardian Media.
“We’re just going out there to play the cricket we want to play. We’re gelling well as a team so we’re all going to look to do what we did, batting wise and just hopefully, we could get 20 wickets and win the game.”
