Imran Khan got nine wickets for Central Sports, and Evin Lewis slammed a century as champions Central Sports and Bess Motors Marchin Patriots both scored outright victories to take the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board Premier Division I title race down to the wire when they meet next week in Felicity in the final round of matches to decide which team will celebrate as the 2025 champion.
The champions, who started the match with a 22-point lead over Marchin at the top of the table, scored a nine-wicket win over Merryboys.
Merryboys batted first, and the Diego Martin team scored 195 all out in their first innings.
Rondel Ramlogan stepped up with 78 and was supported by Giovanni Letren, who scored 45. Sameer Ali and the veteran leg spinner Imran Khan took four wickets each.
The Felicity team then amassed 293 in response, with Jeremiah Cruickshank getting to 60 and Leonardo Julien scoring 54.
They then bowled Merryboys out a second time, restricting them to 183. Letren scored 38 while Gerard Chin added 35. Khan took five for 83 to finish the match with nine wickets.
The Felicity team then chased 129 in only 14 overs to win, losing only one wicket as they won by nine wickets.
