New Un­der-14 boys' and girls' cham­pi­ons will be crowned when the Sagi­cor Ju­nior Ten­nis Tour­na­ment serves off Sat­ur­day at the Na­tion­al Rac­quet Cen­tre in Tacarigua, as both Josi­ah Hills and Make­da Bain will com­pete in an­oth­er di­vi­sion.

Both dom­i­nat­ed their re­spec­tive di­vi­sions at al­most every tour­na­ment they com­pet­ed in, but they will take on an­oth­er chal­lenge in the U-16 di­vi­sion with their op­po­nents be­ing play­ers who were el­e­vat­ed with them, as well as oth­er old­er play­ers who have been com­pet­ing in that di­vi­sion.

On the list of par­tic­i­pants, Bain will have to con­tend with Madi­son Khan, Lil­ly Mo­hammed, Charde Sylvester, Shiloh Walk­er and Z'kereyea Wil­son Wade while Hills will al­so have his plate full with Navin­dra Ar­june, Con­nor Car­ring­ton, Jonathan De Gannes, Ni­rav Dougdeen, Javed Dowlat, Jo­van Garib­ana, Justin Hors­ford, Ja­cob Jacelon, Kaeri Muko­ra, Dar­ius Ra­haman and Jay­sean Wells.

The U-14 girls di­vi­sion will fea­ture Karis­sa Mo­hammed, one of three daugh­ters of for­mer ten­nis queen Shenelle Mo­hammed, An­neleise Orr, Cyra Ram­cha­ran, Suri Ram­cha­ran and Cher­dine Sylvester, while a large con­tin­gent awaits the boys' equiv­a­lent, some of whom in­clude Noah Blanc, Jack Brown, Fa­vian Dates, Oliv­er Har­ra­gin, San­jay Lake and Ryan Steuart.

Apart from the U-14 and U-16, the oth­er cat­e­gories that will be up for grabs will be U-10, U-12, U-14 and U-18. Nao­mi Mo­hammed, an­oth­er of the Mo­hammed sib­lings in the tour­na­ment, will be in the U-18 di­vi­sion where she will come up against Christi-An­na Hills, Lau­ra-Li Mail­lard, Charis Sali­na and Ana Sanchez.

Among the boys will be Daniel Du­mas, Daniel Ra­haman, Aaron Subero, Ger­ald Scot­land, Jay­den Mitchell, Deron Du­mas, and Mi­ca­iah Lewis-Bostic.
