Fri­day's thrilling 6-2 win for the So­ca War­riors over St Kitts & Nevis in Group B of the World Cup Qual­i­fiers at the Hase­ly Craw­ford Sta­di­um is be­ing praised by many, in­clud­ing Prime Min­is­ter Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar.

Yes­ter­day, the Prime Min­is­ter took to her Face­book page to con­grat­u­late the T&T team who will, on Tues­day face Cos­ta Ri­ca in San Jose in their fi­nal match for a place among the top two teams in the group to progress to the fi­nal round of the Con­ca­caf Qual­i­fiers.

Per­sad-Bisses­sar de­scribed it as "a vic­to­ry for all of T&T".

"The en­tire team must be praised for their de­ter­mi­na­tion and hard work in en­sur­ing our na­tion­al flag is flown high and proud­ly. Dante Sealy must be spe­cial­ly con­grat­u­lat­ed for scor­ing two of these goals. Levi Gar­cia, Kevin Moli­no, Ajani For­tune, and Nathaniel James, each scor­ing a goal, al­so de­serve spe­cial men­tion," the Prime Min­is­ter said in her Face­book let­ter.

She al­so hailed coach Dwight Yorke, say­ing his strate­gic and dili­gent work which en­sured the So­ca War­riors' vic­to­ry must al­so be praised.

"As we now set our sights on San Jose on June 10, 2025, where the So­ca War­riors will play an­oth­er World Cup qual­i­fi­er against Cos­ta Ri­ca, I wish our team the best," the let­ter added.

Yorke took over from An­gus Eve in No­vem­ber last year, and to date, in eight match­es, has a record of three wins, one draw, and four loss­es. Apart from Tues­day's match, the So­ca War­riors will al­so con­test the Con­ca­caf Gold Cup in the Unit­ed States and Cana­da from June 14-Ju­ly 6, where they will first play in a group that fea­tures the US, Haiti and Sau­di Ara­bia.
