The T&T Red Force team will remain unchanged for Wednesday's start of the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Colonial Super50 Tournament, according to the president of the T&T Cricket Board (TTCB) Azim Bassarath.

The Red Force will be seeking to return to winning ways when the tournament gets off for them in one of three matches which are all day/night contests bowling off at 1.30 pm.

The local team will square off against defending champions Windwards Islands Volcanoes at the Queen's Park Oval in Port-of-Spain.

Earlier this month, the team was selected with all-rounder Imran Khan at the helm and coach Mervyn Dillon said there would be further practice matches and the board had up until Monday to make any changes if they wanted.

However, Bassarath said on Monday that the manamgenet team had decided to go with the same squad.

"We have made no changes although there was time allowed to do such. The selectors have decided on a team and this is the final team for the tournament."

On another note, Bassarath, who is chairman of the TTCB's regional matches committee, said all is in place to host a successful tournament.

"We have hosted many tournaments like this before and we have been very successful. As chairman of the committee that is in place to make sure everything is in place, I can report that all has progressed well and we are expecting a wonderful tournament. I wanted to take this opportunity to say thanks to the hard-working members of this committee who have been at it over the past few weeks."

Bassarath also called on the public to come out and support the team.

"I am urging the public to come out and support these players in their bid to win the title. This time around, if they perform well and get into the knockout stages there is a possibility of playing a final right in front of their home crowd," he said.

"We have been entrusted with the responsibility of hosting the final and we see this as an added incentive for our players. We are also happy that our loyal cricket fans will be able to see a lot of matches right in their backyards. We are happy about this and we want the fans to reciprocate by coming out to these matches."

T&T is in group B along with the Guyana Jagaurs, Windward Volcanoes, West Indies Emerging Players and the United States.
