Six teams remained unbeaten when this year's Queen's Park Cricket Club (QPCC) 8-A-Side Football Tournament continued at the Queen's Park Oval, Tragarete Road, Port-of-Spain on Wednesday night.
In the 35 and Under Division, Bliss made it three wins on the trot for a maximum of nine points via a 2-0 defeat of WAM led by a goal each from Sean De Silva, and Gary Griffith III while Aioli/Spirit also won their third straight match, by a 2-0 margin over Full Barrel with a goal each from Myles Yorke and Charles Hadden.
In the other match, Food Drop got a lone item off the boot of Jordan Vieira to edge past Mini Bar 1-0.
In the 36-45 Division, newcomer Rose ITSL followed up its 3-1 whipping of defending champions Harts with a narrow 1-0 defeat of Onboard Freight and Logistics (OF&L), with Aaron Boissiere the scorer to climb to nine points, two more than Renew, while Harts and Sheppard Securities are next, a further point behind.
Harts got a double from Benedict Barrett in their 2-1 win over Kyra Investments, who had Troy Thompson on target, while Sheppard Securities used items from Darren Cowie and Shane Hamel-Smith to blank Micro Milling 2-0, and Domino's drew with Renew, 1-1.
Mark Riley fired in a hat-trick as 46-53 Division leader Overwatch whipped Ultimate Events with Larry Williams, and Andre Attale also on target for the winners to cancel out Edgar Aboud's item as they moved to seven points, one more than Earth Enerji who won their second match from as many outings, 5-0 over Reeady Freddie, led by a hat-trick from Robert Caesar and a brace from Glen Decle. Matches continue today from 5.30 pm.
In the 54-60 Division, SAS is top of the table with three wins from three matches following their 2-1 beating of BYD, while in the Over-60 age-group, Khan's Poultry stayed top as well with two wins and a maximum of six points.
