PROV­I­DENCE – The Trin­ba­go Knight Rid­ers (TKR), Bar­ba­dos Roy­als, and Guyana Ama­zon War­riors have un­veiled their 15-play­er squads for the 2025 Massy Women’s Caribbean Pre­mier League (WC­PL), which bowls off on Sep­tem­ber 6 in Guyana.

The tour­na­ment, fea­tur­ing three teams, will see each side play four group-stage match­es be­fore the top two ad­vance to the fi­nal.

Last year’s run­ners-up, TKR, have re­tained their young core while adding key over­seas tal­ent in the June 23 draft. West In­dies vet­er­an De­an­dra Dot­tin re­turns to lead the side, hav­ing pre­vi­ous­ly guid­ed them to the in­au­gur­al WC­PL ti­tle in 2022.

The squad fea­tures ris­ing Caribbean stars like Jahzara Clax­ton, Zai­da James, Jan­nil­lea Glas­gow, and 17-year-old Trinida­di­an off-spin­ner Sama­ra Ram­nath.

Re­turn­ing over­seas play­ers in­clude In­di­an seam­er Shikha Pandey and Aus­tralian all-rounder Jess Jonassen.

A ma­jor ad­di­tion is South African pow­er­house Lizelle Lee, who brings ex­plo­sive bat­ting to the top or­der. De­spite re­tir­ing from in­ter­na­tion­al crick­et in 2022.

Leg-spin­ner Sa­lonee Dan­gore, who trained with Del­hi Cap­i­tals in the WPL, al­so joins, while vet­er­an off-spin­ner Anisa Mo­hammed will be ab­sent.

The de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons, Bar­ba­dos Roy­als, led by West In­dies skip­per Hay­ley Matthews, are eye­ing a his­toric third con­sec­u­tive ti­tle.

The Roy­als have re­tained key play­ers like vet­er­an Afy Fletch­er, Chinelle Hen­ry, Qiana Joseph, and Aaliyah Al­leyne, while wel­com­ing back Sri Lankan su­per­star Chamari Atha­p­aththu.

Trinida­di­an left-arm spin­ner Steffie Soogrim has been draft­ed, adding depth to an al­ready for­mi­da­ble line­up.

Hosts Guyana Ama­zon War­riors boast a bal­anced squad fea­tur­ing She­maine Camp­belle, Stafanie Tay­lor, and Kar­ish­ma Ramharack.

South African speed­ster Shab­n­im Is­mail re­turns for her third sea­son, while Aus­tralian pow­er-hit­ter Lau­ra Har­ris switch­es from the Roy­als to bol­ster the bat­ting.

The WC­PL be­gins on Sep­tem­ber 6 with TKR tak­ing on the Guyana Ama­zon War­riors. The top two teams af­ter the round-robin stage will clash in the fi­nal on Sep­tem­ber 17.
